Nuclear Factory

A FNAF style game

    How did this game happen?

    I was in love with the idea of creating a game, since our teacher was teaching us Scratch at the time I found out I can use it to create my own. After watching a documentary about Chernobyl this idea of a fnaf style game that takes place on a nuclear factory came to mind! I had the idea I had the tools so I went for it and then upload it on Gamejolt!

    My 1st game

    Development

    Since this was the 2nd complete game I have ever made on Scratch 2, it wasn't hard to make, but Scratch has A LOT of limitations which made this game very challenging to make. Most of the assets and rooms are made by me some others are images on the internet. SFX also where all found online.

    My work!

    Camera System! The meaning of a Fnaf fangame, most of the time. In Scratch it wasn't that hard to implement. It was harder to find and edit photos to add as potential Cams. You open the cameras by opening the CCTV tab on top and clicking number 1-4!

    Danger Meter! The 1 of the 4 lose conditions of the game. I coded so if the Danger meter is full you die. The meter goes up if the water is low (drops slowly through time and you can refill it by flicking the the blue switches, after that you need to wait a bit). 

    Pressure meter! The pressure meter slowly goes goes goes up. If it goes to much up. The Danger Meter rises. You can presses the lever to release some of the pressure. Doing that though uses Power. All that I manage to do it with Scratch blocks.

    Power meter! If you lose all power, the danger meter slowly goes up. You refill the power the same way as you do with the water.

    The O2 meter is another lose condition. You run out of O2 you lose. You have to Open the vent to get some O2 back but it will significantly increase the pressure while it is open!

    The 3rd lose condition is in the cameras! I coded in some "spy's" that can randomly spawn and if you don't press the alarm button you die :>. The alarm though is pretty long and it disables every movement while is active!.


    A lot more systems are implemented to the game but they are pretty similar to all the mechanics I already mentioned. And code wise they are almost the same.
